Attention all readers!

Wow! So I knew it had been a while since I had posted but I didn't think it had been that long! The little one is keeping me busy! I'm planning on posting an update on Addie next week once I get my pictures uploaded. But until then .... I have a dear friend who is finally living her lifelong dream of writing and publishing books. She has a series coming out in December that is said to be awesome! 4 Months!

4 month stats: 11.3 pounds (9%)

This last month has been filled with tons of exciting new things for Addison. It seems like when she hit the 3 month mark she starting doing something new everyday. We have had so much fun watching her become a little "person" as she discovers the world around her. She found her hands and loves to play with toys now. She reaches for EVERYTHING and of course wants to put it in her mouth the minute she touches it. She also found her feet and now loves to suck on her toes instead of her hands. This makes diaper changing quite fun! She learned how to roll over at 3 1/2 months which is awesome but created somewhat of a predicament for her since she hated to be on her belly. We have spent a lot of time flipping that little girl back onto her backside. She only rolls one way so far but I have seen her roll more than one time in a row. I think this will be her method of transportation soon. Lately she has been rolling over in bed which creates another problem, she loves to be wrapped in her blanket for bed but then gets tangled up in it. I guess the blanket is going to have to go. I got to hear her laugh for the first time which I have to say is one of those memorable moments of parenthood! She has only done it one other time and I can't wait until she figures out how to laugh more often.

3 Months

Addison will be 3 months next week! I can't believe it! We've just been enjoying watching her grow and wishing there was a way to slow it down. I keep looking for my pause button but I just can't find it! She had her two month appointment (obviously a whole month ago) and weighed 9 1/2 lbs (24%) and was 22 1/2 inches (50%). We celebrated Justin's birthday on April 20 and then he headed off to Wisconsin for a week for work. It was hard to have him gone for so long but we made it through! I finally finished school and don't miss it one bit. I got to experience my first Mother's Day and loved every minute of it. And finally, we blessed Addie this past Sunday and it was awesome. Justin gave her a wonderful blessing and she looked so beautiful! I thank heaven for her everyday and don't know what I ever did without her!

Bored . . .

So I hate to say this too loud but . . . I'm bored. Justin is working, Addison is asleep and I offically have nothing to do. I guess I will enjoy it while I can. Here are some random pictures of Addie!

No worries . . . I just dropped something really loud and woke her up. I guess I'm not bored anymore! =)

Time is Flying!

Wow! I can't believe Addison will be 6 weeks old this Sunday! My little girl is growing so fast! It's so fun to watch her develop and learn new things but at the same time I hate to see her grow! We are having so much fun with her and she is definately keeping us both busy. She is sleeping great through the night which is the best thing a mom could ask for. The other night she went to bed at 11 pm and I finally had to wake her up at 6 am cause I knew she would be starving! I couldn't believe it! The funny thing is, that night I was pondering back on the day when I used to sleep all through the night and secretly wishing for just one night of uninterrupted sleep ... well I got my wish! What an angel I have! Here are some pictures we had taken of Addie when she was three weeks . . .

New Arrival!

Well our little bundle of joy finally came! Addison Ann was born Sunday February 28, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 21 inches long. I finally started having contractions on Saturday about midnight and by 1:30 am we were in the hospital waiting for the oh so heavenly epidural. Then we waited until what seemed like forever when they finally had me start pushing at 8:30 am. Three hours later and totally exhausted still no baby. They'd been watching her heartrate closely during the entire labor because it kept dropping and they couldn't figure out why. At this point the baby was also exhausted and the labor was putting too much stress on her. They brought the doctor in and he decided to try using the vacuum thing to get her out or said we would have to do an emergency C-section. Luckily after about 3 contractions she popped right out. They rushed her over to the respirtory therapist and got her cleaned out and said everything looked good. Aside from a lot of worrying about her heartrate, it was such an awesome experience. We had awesome nurses and doctors and the whole hospital stay was great. We've now been parents for a whole week and I can't believe how fast the time is flying. The days are so busy and we are totally loving watching all her funny faces and little smiles. She's been a great baby so far and we are so blessed to have her in our lives! Justin has been the most amazing dad and helpful husband. He changed almost every diaper in the hospital and still jumps at the chance to do it at home. He gets up with me during the night and takes her for a few hours during the day so I can nap. I couldn't do it without him. And it's the absolute best thing to watch him hold his little girl. There's nothing better in the world!

Update

Well, I was hoping to have some baby pictures to post by now but no such luck. The doctor says everything is looking good and ready to go, it's just the waiting game now. He stripped me on Tuesday hoping it would help but all it did was give me some killer false labor pains. And it's made everyday seem longer and longer. I don't think it was quite worth it! But at least there is an end in sight. My induction date is March 1 but I really hope I don't make it until then. In fact I'm really hoping to get out of work on Monday! We'll see!
